I know we do not see many family sessions here on the Blog, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to post this adorable session. Plus, if you’ve been following along for a while, then you should recognize this sweet family because over the past year and a half, I’ve documented all of their big moments. From their pregnancy | gender reveal session to their maternity session and then none other than their birth story! It pretty much feels like yesterday that this sweet boy entered this world, but in fact 8 whole months have flown by and I feel like I’ve only had time to take in one breath. I’m not sure how life just passes by so quickly, and honestly, I wish it would slow down a little. I met up with this sweet family while they were camping at Vilano Beach a couple of weeks back. Maddon is quickly growing and Josie had not had any pictures taken since his newborn session. So, it was time! We walked over to an empty beach [just the way I like it] and had ourselves a fun little session. Maddon did so good, but honestly, he was more interested in the water and sand than looking at me…but really, can you blame him? This little family is near and dear to both mine and Jonny’s heart, so it’s an honor being the one to document their life. They are the epitome of chosen family – and I’m so thankful for that! After our session, we went back to the campsite to grill dinner. The grill was lit before 8pm, and just like I had said earlier that day, we ate dinner at like 10:30. If you have ever been part of a Gaskin’s Grilling Experience, then you know this is no exaggeration.

Gaskins Family, I love watching your family grow and change and cannot wait until the next milestone – Maddon’s 1 YEAR!! Just let that sink in, and try to not cry!!
