Ashton | SHS Senior

As a photographer, there’s nothing more amazing and gratifying than being referred to client’s family and friends. This case is no different. I met Ashton’s mom, Meri, a couple of years back through our mutual friend, Ryan. In fact, Ryan referred me to a few others in his hometown of Live Oak, and I feel  blessed being connected to these little groups of people. That’s one thing that makes small town living special! The first time I met Ashton though, she was a sophomore in high school, so it was really cool that she chose me to be her Senior Photographer after all this time.

Meet Ashton: 2018 Suwannee High School Senior!! We met up a few weeks back in Live Oak for Ashton’s session. Let me tell you, this girl is a sweetheart, but she is fierce in front of the camera. She slayed her session!! We walked around the cute little downtown area seeing what all fun [and/or creepy] places we could find. There’s definitely some great places – but I am a sucker for old walls! They make the best backdrop. After our time downtown we hopped in our cars and drove the three minutes over to Heritage Park [I wasn’t kidding about it being a small town]. While at the park, we had such dreamy golden light. I’m such a lover of golden hour – it’s definitely my most favorite time of the day! We took full advantage of that gorgeous light as we waited on her brother to deliver a very special guest to us. Her beagle pup, Dixon. Seriously, this dog is so.dang.cute. I really couldn’t even handle myself. I think part of it besides his obvious cuteness is because he reminded me so much of my pup, Winston. I’m pretty sure they would be best friends and have the best time playing. Maybe a play date is in order, right?! Other than her sweet pup, Ashton also broke out her tap shoes. I love dance and I especially love photographing dancers. They’re just all so incredibly talented! Ashton pulled off some pretty death defying sweet moves for me on the bench that she brought! They turned out so good, but the bench was slick so that was a little tricky – but she’s a pro!

Ashton [Meri and Ryan] thank you so much for inviting me to document this very special time in your life! You’re a beautiful and talented young lady and I cannot wait to see what your future holds! Good luck!!

xoxo,

Holly
