Y’all! It warms my heart to share a few of these images with you from John’s Homecoming! I’ve known Chrissy now for several years and was so excited when she reached out to me about being with her at NAS Jax when she welcomed John home from deployment. I was pumped up the day of the Homecoming because I’ve always wanted to do one of these and I finally was about to be present for one of these extremely emotional and exciting days! Honestly, I was nothing but completely stoked until we started waiting around in the hangar. Then I felt it. I got choked up [imagine that] and would tear up here and there because of the sheer magnitude of what was about to happen. Everyone was smiles and anxiously awaiting their loved one, and I was witnessing it all. I met one lady who had a baby 4 months ago that the father had not yet met! Seriously, when I just looked at her and her precious babe, I just about lost it every time knowing the reunion that was moments away for this sweet little family! Honestly, I held it together a lot more than expected, but it was so sweet just witnessing these loved ones being reunited after separated for six months! I cannot even begin to imagine what that joy must have felt like coming coming back together with someone you love dearly!

This has to be one of my favorite days! It was nothing scripted or really planned, just real life and moments unfolding in front of my lens! Chrissy and John, thank you so much for having me involved during this special time in your lives! I can not think of a better way to have spent that day!!
