Happy Monday, friends! I have known these two for quite sometime, so their story is pretty special and personal to me…which makes me super excited to share them with you.
Meet Lynnette and Eric. I met this sweet couple a few years back on a wedding. Lynnette was in the wedding party of my sweet bride, Chatlie. They are the best of friends and anytime I would see Chatlie, I would see Lynnette. From their engagement session, to the wedding and every session since. That is how my relationship with Lynnette began. Throughout this time, Eric and Lynnette have been together, so I have never known them any different. Fast forward to 2016. Earlier last year, I ran into Eric and of course I asked when is he going to ask that girl to marry him? You know, because that’s just how I roll from time to time if I’m being honest. He confessed that he had the ring!! He told me that he was trying to figure out the perfect way but that he would be in touch so that I could capture it all. Then came the waiting. I waited and waited, never hearing from Eric. I secretly would stalk Lynnette’s Facebook page to see if I missed anything. Nothing. A few months go by and I hear from Lynnette that her sister, Kriston, is coming in from California to get married in St. Augustine over the summer. Kriston invited me to capture her special and intimate day and that’s where the magic happened. Kriston and I got to talking about the love birds and when the time would come…so we did what any girl would do and talked to Eric. He mentioned that he brought the ring with him to St. Augustine and was thinking about it, but didn’t want to intrude on Kriston’s special day. Kriston gave him her blessing and the plan came to life. After the wedding, Kriston and her new husband, Derrick rode off on a carriage ride around St. Augustine with Lynnette and Eric. I waited around until they were done and mentioned that I wanted one last family photo and then one of Lynnette and Eric of course. After the picture, Eric got down on one knee and asked Lynnette to marry him. It was so beautiful and special!
Now that you have the back story, you can see that being there with this couple through it all, makes them close to my heart. A couple of months following the proposal, I hear from Lynnette that they are working to get their wedding plans together and we go ahead to schedule their engagement session. They decided they wanted something different and chose Disney Springs! I was super excited since I’ve never been there and it was a chance to do something new. This place is special to them having visited a few times as they used to be Annual Pass Holders at Disney. I was worried about this session because it was supposed to rain fiercely, but thankfully the storm moved north and spared us the rain. However, it did leave us with some crazy wind! We also had the whole place to ourselves…can you believe it?! Okay, I’m just kidding, there were quite a bit of people there, but you would never know from the images below! I had so much fun with this couple walking around and exploring! After we finished their session, we had lunch at Frontera Cocina, which was absolutely delicious. We also ran into some Storm Troopers on our way out, but they just kept on about their business. Although, one was looking at us kind of funny. It’s so neat to reflect back and see how my relationship began with Lynnette and Eric and how it has evolved through the years. I cannot wait for their November wedding! I can’t give you all of the details, but let’s just say it’s going to be super intimate and special and may or may not require my car crossing state lines to get there.
Lynnette and Eric, thank you so much for allowing me to capture this time of your life! I’m stoked to be a part!!
xoxo,
Holly
