I’ve been dying to blog this absolutely gorgeous elopement of Lynnette and Eric!! I have also been holding it hostage because it was being featured in the Bridal Section of the latest Family Magazine, so I didn’t want to ruin the surprise before it published!! But now, it’s published, so I’m going to town sharing here on the Blog! You may recognize this sweet couple from their Disney Springs Engagement Session, which you can see here!
Lynnette and Eric didn’t want the traditional wedding and decided that the best fit for them was to run off to North Georgia and say their vows in front of a beautiful waterfall! When they asked me to come with them to document, I was elated and was already ready to pack my bags! This is the kind of thing that I’ve been dreaming of. Escaping with a couple who dares to be different and do something amazing, and this was no less than that! Lynnette and Eric’s day was relaxed and easy. We all stayed in a big cabin up the mountain (with one of the scariest driveways I’ve ever seen) and they began their day separately. Lynnette drove to get her hair and makeup done while Eric went gem-grubbing. Guys really do have it easy on wedding day don’t they?! Before heading to the falls, Lynnette and Eric decided to do a first look instead of trying to coordinate seeing each other for the first time at the waterfall. It was precious! We made our trip down the mountain, through town and back up another set of mountains – basically, it took us one whole hour to drive 17 miles. Worth it though! It was definitely one of the most beautiful drives!! Upon arriving to the hidden waterfall, we parked our car on the side of the road and trekked back through the woods about a quarter of a mile. And there she was. Minnehaha Falls. I had seen a couple of pictures, but they nowhere did her justice!! Much taller than I was expecting and just all around beautiful! Minnehaha made for the perfect backdrop for this crisp, fall day! It really was perfect!! After exchanging vows and lots and lots of portraits, we made our way back out of the woods and onto dinner. We ate at this wonderful little place call Root + Barrel and finished our night at the Lazy Hiker Brewery! This day truly embodied who Lynnette and Eric are as a couple!! I couldn’t have imagined anything more perfect for them.
A couple of days after their Waterfall Elopement, Lynnette and Eric came back to Lake City and held a small reception at Halpatter Brewing Company. They gathered and celebrated with their closest family and friends. Fun fact: these two were the first to hold an event at the Brewery! A lot has changed since their special day, but it was still perfect for them and they had the whole place to themselves!
Lynnette and Eric, I am so thankful to be a part of your lives and to have been on this journey with you! You are so special and this is one thing I will never forget! Thank you for inviting me to document this special time in your life!!
xoxo,
Holly

I am the mother of the groom, Eric Donald Ebelink. Where can I get a copy of the magazine for a keepsake?
