When Abigail and I first started chatting about her engagement session and wedding, she told me that her fiancé, Kyle, is in the Navy and that she wanted to take some pictures with him in his Dress Blues. I couldn’t have been more excited for this! I mean, who doesn’t love seeing a member of the Military wearing their uniforms?! It’s an honor and deserves respect. Side note: while out shooting, we did have someone stop and thank Kyle for his Service!

I met Abigail and Kyle for the first time on their engagement session! These two are just the cutest, and total rock stars…especially Kyle for donning his Blues in the middle of the Florida Summer!! Honestly, we were all just hot messes by the time we finished. Thankfully, the first part of our day was a little overcast so it provided a little relief; not much, but hey, we’ll take what we can get sometimes! We started our evening down in the quaint little town of High Springs. This town is so charming with it’s historic streets and antique shops – and made for a perfect backdrop for these two and their vintage looks. While Kyle rocked his blues, Abigail stunned in a simple white dress and heels, almost like she came from a different decade! Once we finished in downtown High Springs, we came back to Lake City to finish up their engagement session. They performed a quick change and off we went. We were about to *legally* hop a fence [because that’s what we do in North Florida] over to an open field when I saw them. The Crepe Myrtles. I had to use them – I have been dreaming of this shot for a while and needed to make it happen. They were on board and thankfully Abigail’s mom was nearby to assist! Honestly, the shots under the Crepe Myrtles are some of my favorites and my little photographer heart is still beaming from it! We finished our session out in the field and just had the best time. We laughed a lot and dodged lots of cow pies!

Abigail and Kyle, it was such a pleasure getting to know you both and spend the evening with you guys! Thank you so much for inviting me into your lives to capture these big moments! I cannot wait for your wedding next June!!
