I met Brooklynn several months ago by complete accident. My friend, Amy, who is an amazing Event Designer was at the Fairgrounds one Saturday in August that she had a wedding. She was telling me about this gorgeous reception that she had just put the finishing details on, but how her phone photos were not so visually appealing. So, being the good friend that I am, I surprised her by showing up to photograph her details. It was not too much later that Brooklynn and her mom walked through the doors. They had stopped by to see what this venue could look like with Amy’s special touch. It was there that I met these two in person. I had been corresponding with Brooklynn via email for about a month or two prior, but here we finally had a chance to meet and chat. It was then that I fell in love with Brooklynn’s wedding ideas! She told me of her plans for a Christmas wedding and how she and her grandmother who had passed always talked about her having a Christmas wedding! I just thought it was the sweetest thing!

Brooklynn and Garrett were married at the church that Brooklynn’s parents exchanged vows in! This day was so special and it was so sweet seeing how these two chose to honor family on their wedding day. This cute couple chose to do a first look since they had a late ceremony. It was perfect! We were able to finish all of our portraits before the ceremony even began, and honestly, we ended up with more time for portraits by scheduling them ahead of time! I’m such a proponent for first looks for a few different reasons, but I feel that’s for a different post. I love the way these two smile and look at each other! A couple of fun facts about Garrett and his family: 1. I used to work with his dad at the Bank and 2. I bowl with his family on Thursday nights! Yes, you heard that right, I’m a bowler! Let’s set the record straight though…Garrett is practically a professional and I very much just show up to be social. So, we are on the same league [night] but I am no where close to being in his league [caliber]. It was fun seeing him outside of the alley, and getting to see how him and Brooklynn interact together!

Brooklynn and Garrett, thank you so much for having me be a part of your beautiful day! You are such a beautiful and sweet couple, and I wish you nothing but the best for your future!
