This wedding. I’ve been waiting for this wedding for seriously about two years!! And let me tell you, this day did NOT disappoint! Emily and Kellen’s day felt so surreal once it finally was here because they booked with me so far in advanced. For most of the time, it felt as though it would never get here, but when it did, it felt like time had past so quickly.

I’m not going to lie though – for a long time I was nervous about this wedding. Not because I haven’t shot my fair share of weddings before, but because this venue was being completely overhauled. You see, this isn’t some small venue or barn, but an 80,000 sqft building, comprised of residential apartments, airbnbs, and office space – not to mention their gorgeous event space and courtyard. There wasn’t any part of this building that wasn’t touched – and that goes as far as electrical and plumbing as well. This was a HUGE undertaking for the developer and needless to say, the project extended much farther than originally planned…but what do you expect from a building that was built in 1910!! Needless to say, this intense labor of love certainly paid off. The Blanche has been completely restored to its former glory and makes me incredibly proud to be part of our small downtown scene.

Emily never doubted the project being completed before her big day and I’m so glad that she hung in there to see it through – because her vision certainly paid off! The Blanche has quickly become one of my favorite venues and is just drop dead beautiful. In fact, to much surprise, Emily and Kellen’s wedding ended up being the FIRST WEDDING held here since the remodel. Honestly, everything about this day was perfect! Emily was beyond gorgeous, Kellen was super dapper, and the bridesmaids dresses were perfection. This traditional and timeless wedding day was just everything you could ask for, and more!!

I seriously just cannot give you enough words to describe how I feel about this day. But, if I had to sum it up for you, it would most definitely be “AHHHHHHHHHH” with a ton of heart eye emojis to follow. That being said, just scroll down and see for yourself this perfection of a day!!

Emily and Kellen, I just adore the mess out of you two and am truly blessed to have y’all in my life!! Thank you so much for inviting me to capture this incredibly special and beautiful day!! It. Was. Perfect!! Love you both!
