“We got cows!”

Twister, anyone?! Sorry, I really couldn’t resist! I actually found myself randomly (although, I was looking at cows) saying that out loud sometime last week too. But it’s one thing I keep thinking as I go through this session!

Today Katie and Jeremy’s engagement session is being debuted and I think it is quintessential North Florida! When Katie reached out about holding their engagement session at her family’s farm, I got really excited! I’ve wanted to shoot in rows of corn for years now, but I’m not going to traipse through someone’s crops uninvited just for a shot. Katie told me about how she grew up on the farm that her family owned and how important of a place it is to her, so naturally, it’s the most perfect place for photos! I love the personal connection she has with this location.

The day was like any typical Florida, summer day with our bipolar weather. It rained the day before and day of and the threat of rain loomed throughout our entire session…but these two did not let that stand in their way. I brought cute umbrellas just in case, but per usual, I bring them and have no reason to use them. I can’t complain though, because we did end up with a little bit of that beautiful golden light!

This farm engagement session was everything you could ask for! Corn crops, cow pastures, a silo and lots of love! I had the best time getting to know these two sweeties a little bit better! Katie and Jeremy, thank you so much for bringing me out to the farm for your engagement session! I absolutely cannot wait for your wedding in October!!
