If you are a fan of Legos or Comics, then I think you’re going to love this fun engagement session! I was very excited when Katie reached out to me about documenting her upcoming wedding! I knew she was engaged and thought that we could make a good fit! I am friends with several of her family members and we have a good bit of mutual friends, so she has to be my kind of people, right?!

I met with Katie and her mom a few weeks back and we chatted about her May wedding and started planning her engagement session. She told me of how her and TJ met and the things that they like to do together. She told me that she wanted to bring a cute little wedding Lego set, Comic Books and Nerd shirts as she called them! I was stoked because I just love it when a couple wants to incorporate their personality in their session and be themselves. I like to see the real side of people and what interests them and who they are on a daily basis! These two are easy going and relaxed with each other. They share the same interests and love for one another!

Before we broke into all of the goodies that she brought, we did manage to capture a few images with TJ’s son and daughter and then a few more of just the happy couple! Katie and TJ will be having their wedding at her parent’s property so we decided that was the perfect place for the engagement session. It gave us a chance to chat about their upcoming wedding and pick out some fun spots for portraits! There was this little patch of whispies (as I like to call them) that lit up perfectly with the setting sun and just made my little photographer heart happy. I’ve already put in my request for those to somehow still be there on the wedding day, haha! Oh and make sure to check back in about their wedding, I’m pretty sure you’ll see that Lego bride and groom again!

I really loved getting to spend the afternoon with this sweet couple and am even more excited for their wedding day! I know it’s going to be special and one of a kind! Katie and TJ, thank you so much for allowing me the privilege to tell your love story!!
