Fall weddings are always some of my favorites. The air is starting to turn cool, the golden afternoon light is scrumptious and it just brings about a little something different. That is unless you live in Florida. If you live in Florida, then all bets are off the table, which was the case for this sweet couples late October wedding!
Today we’re reliving the sweet wedding of Bailey and Josh! You may also remember them as the couple who had not one, but two engagement sessions due to that same amazing and ever so “predictable” Florida weather. Check it out here.
The night before Bailey and Josh’s wedding, alternate plans were being made for their fully outdoor wedding. If you’re in the event industry, you know that weather changes in a matter of minutes and hours, and that really anything can happen. However, the night before it was showing a complete flood out for the next day. I reassured Bailey that things change and let’s wait until morning to see how things were looking. Guess what?! They were looking better! Did we end up having rain? Oh heck yes. But thankfully, it hit mainly during the reception while we were undercover of the tent and able to get all of their portraits taken care of ahead of time. We did encounter one pop up shower which had us scurrying for shelter, but other than that – we were safe, with even a good bit of sun!
Bailey and Josh’s day, even though did not go as expected, ended up being absolutely beautiful and perfectly their own! There were so many sweet moments throughout this day that no rain could dampen their mood. I will tell you though, my favorite part of their day was indeed the First Look. Keep scrolling and you’ll see why!
Bailey and Josh, it’s been such a pleasure getting to know you and be a part of your story! I adore you guys and cannot wait to see your future together!
xoxo,
Holly
